BRADLEY AIR NATIONAL GUARD FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Bradley ANG Fire Department is a relatively new fire department within the State of Connecticut Protective Services. The Bradley ANG Fire Department began service in 1994. The department consists of two four person shifts consisting of a Firefighter in charge and and three firefighters. The main mission of the department is the egress of the aircrew on any military aircraft that may arrive at the base. Bradley ANG Firefighters must always be alert to the hazards of 30mm guns, live ordnances and the ejection seat on the A-10 aircraft. The department also provides mutual aid services to the Bradley International Airport Fire Department and any area towns that may need our services in an emergency.
