Links
The PSEC Legislative Links Program is our grassroots lobbying effort. As
Bills on the PSEC Legislative Agenda advance through the General Assembly
the PSEC lobbying team may call upon the Legislative Links to contact
their elected representatives in either chamber to express their support
or opposition to a proposed Bill. Nothing can have a greater impact on the
Legislative Process than individual citizens contacting their elected
representatives to express their support or opposition to a proposed Bill.
As a PSEC Legislative Link
you will receive information detailing the union’s position on critical
pieces of legislation. This information is to be used as talking points
when you call your elected representatives. It can also be used when you
write your elected representatives or when writing letters to the editor
of your local newspaper. After you have made contact with your elected
representative it is important that you notify PSEC of the reaction to
your contact. Feedback from your contact can be critical in identifying
those lawmakers who are supportive as well as those who need additional
lobbying by the PSEC lobbying team.
